AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS IS BACK -- sneaking down the corridors of Congress, tiptoeing into the Senate chamber, hoping to become law before you and I know it's even there.

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) recently warned America that Dick Durbin (D-IL) -- one of the Senate's most left-wing ideologues -- and other liberals PLAN TO TACK THE SO-CALLED "DREAM ACT" AS AN AMENDMENT ONTO THE 2008 DEFENSE AUTHORIZATION BILL ANY DAY NOW.

The "Dream Act," which  should really be called "AMNESTY III," will be voted on this week!

Our elected leaders have continually tried to ram amnesty down the throats of the hard-working, tax-paying American people, and twice we have rammed it right back down their throats.

And apparently they've gotten the message.  That's why they've given up on plans to pass amnesty for millions of illegal aliens OPENLY and are now trying to do it incrementally and under the cover of darkness! 

The American people oppose amnesty.  Durbin Democrats know this.  So why are our elected officials thumbing their noses at the millions of ordinary people who elected them? 

Durbin's sleazy parliamentary "DREAM Act" trick -- that has nothing to do with national defense -- would legalize MILLIONS of illegal aliens who could simply swear to the following:

That they entered the United States (illegally) before reaching 16;

That they have lived (illegally) in the United States for a least five consecutive years;

That they have graduated from an American High School -- or obtained a G.E.D. (albeit while in the United States illegally);

That they have "good moral character" -- whatever that means. 

Can you imagine Teddy Kennedy and Hillary Clinton determining the meaning of "good character?"

How much money do you suppose it would take to buy a phony diploma or G.E.D. certificate or other phony documents that "prove" residency on the streets of San Francisco or New York City today? 

But It's For The Children...

The supporters of Durbin's Amnesty amendment say they only want to pass the "DREAM Act" because it would be inhumane to deny an education to innocent children who are in this country through no fault of their own. 

But hold on!  Does Senator Durbin's stealth amendment put an age limit on illegal aliens who qualify? 

NO!  Technically a 30-year old or a 45-year old or even a 60-year old can claim eligibility.

After watching our government's failure to patrol our borders, build that fence or deport those who over-stay their student visas, can anyone doubt that hordes of people would somehow "qualify" for legal residency under this brazen attempt at providing amnesty to illegals knowing full well that the federal government may never bother to verify if they stay enrolled in school or not?

By the way, the Durbin Amendment contains another sickening provision, one that should boil the blood of every parent who's had to pay college tuition:

The "DREAM Act" reverses current law that prohibits states from giving in-state tuition rates to illegal aliens.

Do you think that it's fair that Johnny's parents in Virginia should pay higher tuition because Johnny wants to attend school in Florida while someone who is in this country illegally is allowed to pay less?

And to add insult to injury, illegal aliens would also be eligible to receive FINANCIAL AID!

So, how many illegal aliens will receive much-needed financial aid, subsidized by your tax dollars, which should have gone to citizens and legal immigrants?

The DREAM Act must be beaten down NOW... BEFORE it becomes the law of the land.

If Our Elected Officials Really Want To Protect Children...

If you want to make America a kinder, gentler place for children, secure our border:

The U.S. Justice Department has estimated that 270,000 illegal aliens served jail time nationally in 2003. Of those, 108,000 were in California.

Some estimates show illegal aliens now make up half of California's prison population, creating a massive criminal subculture that strains state budgets and creates a nightmare for local police forces and law-abiding citizens.

According to Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) illegal aliens kill 12 Americans every day.  4,380 every year.  That's over 26,000 since 9/11 -- MORE THAN SIX TIMES THE TOTAL KILLED IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.

And that isn't all.  The above estimates by King don't take accidental deaths into account.  King also reports that illegal aliens kill 13 Americans every day as a result of motor vehicle accidents...  4,745 per year...  over 28,000 more since 9/11.

A report by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Study revealed that 20 percent of fatal accidents involve at least one driver without a valid license.

A California study found that those (aliens) who have never received a valid driver's license are FIVE TIMES MORE LIKELY TO HAVE A FATAL ACCIDENT THAN THOSE WITH VALID LICENSES... more dangerous than drivers whose licenses have been suspended or revoked.

But that's not all.  

Congressman King reports that about 8 children are violated by an illegal alien every day.  That's 2,920 per year.

Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of Atlanta's Violent Crimes Institute reports that around 240,000 illegal immigrants are sex offenders with an average of four victims each.

We Don't Have Much Time.

Don't be complacent just because we've defeated amnesty bills before.  The "Dream Act" could pass IF WE DO NOT ACT QUICKLY.

Twenty-five senators co-sponsored the bill when it was first introduced in March.  That means one-fourth of the Senate is ready to give amnesty and special benefits to millions of illegal aliens.

Sources tell us that another 20 Democrats are firmly committed to betraying the American people by supporting this legislation.

That means that Majority Whip Durbin will need only about 5 additional votes to pass this bill and only about 15 additional votes to pass a filibuster-proof bill. 

Politicians on both sides of the aisle keep putting up amnesty legislation because they believe concerned Americans like you and I will fall asleep and let one of these bills slip through.  Or that opponent of granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens will eventually tire of answering the bell at the beginning of each round.

But there's bad news for Senators Durbin, Kennedy and Clinton:

We will NEVER let pro-amnesty legislation get past our guard.  Right now, this is our highest priority -- the Senate is going to vote on Durbin's amendment this week!

CFIF activists and patriotic Americans like you have been instrumental in defeating Amnesty numerous times before.  And we know you can and will do it again. 

But don't count on Republicans in the Senate to hold the line without a lot of pressure from you and me.
